In August 1987, Bunn and Netter proposed the idea of World AIDS Day. At the time, both men worked for the Global HIV/AIDS Program of the WHO. It was first observed on December 1, 1991, and has remained the same ever since.

On this day, HIV/AIDS sufferers and those affected by the disease observe World AIDS Day. The Bodhi Day: National Holiday in December

Buddhism celebrates all three of Buddha’s phases on one day. Vesak is the name of the festival, and it is observed following the lunar calendar. The Mahayana Buddhists of China, Korea, and Vietnam celebrate Vesak in three separate holy days. A third day is set aside to commemorate Buddha’s illumination or Bodhi Day. Buddha Day is observed by Mahayana Buddhists in the eighth month of the lunar calendar, so the dates vary each year.

Bodhi Day is celebrated in Japan according to the Gregorian calendar. Japan was westernized under the rule of King Meiji (1867-1912). Bodhi Day is always celebrated in Japan on December 8. However, it is still not known when it became a holiday. But it’s a national holiday for all the Japanese out there!

Santa Lucia: The day before December 14th Holiday!

The Italian Saint Lucia passed on in a saintly state. Her role as a figure of light is portrayed in the most obscure work of the year. Sweden remembers and celebrates Santa Lucia on December 13 as a symbol of light and trust. There are air shows and parades on this day, with performers in white and wearing hoods with real flashing candles. Something that the people of Italy can rejoice in and take some positivity from.

Christmas – The most awaited Festivity

It is always in our minds that we sing the Christmas Slay Song, as it represents Santa Clause riding a sleigh with lots of gifts aligned with him. There is more excitement in a snowy winter when it is like a fairytale!

What day is Christmas this year? Christmas is the most anticipated day in December Holidays, and it arises on the 25th of December every year. Want to know more about it? You already know. Perhaps just skim through the significant chunk of details here!

A Christmas celebration is without a doubt one of the most popular December holidays. The day marks the introduction of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom Christians believe was sent by God to save humankind from transgression.

Nobody knows the precise date of Jesus’ birth, regardless of the circumstances. Christmas, however, falls on the winter solstice in the Roman calendar. Different nations also view Christmas as a social event rather than a religious one. A way to indicate the event is to leave gifts for Santa Claus or Father Christmas. Many people go to Church administrations on Christmas day, while others enjoy hard and fast excursions.

Boxing Day – Symbolism varies

Different opinions have consistently divided on how to praise Boxing Day. Following Christmas, this is generally considered to be the official day for churches to distribute aid boxes.

In addition to showing appreciation for workers, like young men, mail carriers, and others, who support their families, Boxing Day is also celebrated as an appreciation day.

Boxing Day has remained one of the most popular celebrations in December despite its symbolism. Around the world, nations such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand have declared the date a public holiday. In these countries, it is a tradition to sort out games on Boxing Day.

Universal Human Rights Month

Are we missing out on the international Holidays 2021? Well, here we have something to share!

During the Multicultural Holiday Celebrations, Universal Human Rights Month is one of the celebrations. Besides resolving a number of current issues, this annual event is vital for its focus on the limits of fundamental rights, and the subjugation and abuse of minors. Globally, it inspires people to come together and fight for equality, equity, and dignity for all. But where does this begin? Let’s find out more below.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was drafted in 1948 by the United Nations. As a result, the UN was concerned that atrocities would occur after World War II, so they ensured that their report emphasized firmly and explicit that human rights now are universally guaranteed, as well as in the future.

Finally! It’s the New Year Eve

Also, on this list, the last day of December happens to fall on the previous day of the month. New Year’s Eve has the purpose of marking the end of the old year just as an ushering in of the new.

Various forms of celebration can be observed on this day. During the holiday season, religious people visit their places of worship to thank God for yet another year of blessings. People also gather at bars, cafes, and other places to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Festivals typically peak at midnight, when joyous yells, melodies, and firecrackers fill the air. Everywhere you look, there are smiling faces. As we make new promises and resolutions, the digits change, and we create new plans. All broadcasters, social media users, and digital bloggers are exuberant as they wait for the upcoming change on the calendar.

Furthermore, the holiday season becomes more exciting with some exciting sales and the winter breeze. Each moment seems to be packed with excitement. Known as a blessing party, it’s held to celebrate living another year. There’s no greater joy than that. It is taking a moment to be thankful for another year of life and living to the fullest!

Christmas or New Year holidays in December: Where to go?

As Christmas/December Global Holidays destinations, all of the places that travel bloggers suggest are ideal because they celebrate the holidays with lights, markets, or traditional cuisine. Each destination also has its own holiday celebration outside of the season. Together, we will decide, plan, and execute! So, let’s start the trip with the hope to have a great time and Happy Holidays!

Salzburg – A charming city

Families with children can enjoy a trip to Salzburg during the Christmas holiday season. This time of year is a good time to immerse yourself in the magic of fairy tales and the festive spirit of Christmas.

Christkindlmarkt Advent market is certainly not to be missed on Domplatz and Residezplatz. Approximately 100 stalls are set up. There are no better Advent markets in the world than the one in Vienna. The program is very varied: children’s readings on Christmas day, Krampus parades, guided Christmas tours, choral concerts, and various exciting activities.

The Hellbrunn Adventzauber Market offers children a chance to meet the Krampus and learn about mystical traditions in addition to the zoo, pony rides, and delivery of Christmas wishes at the Weihnachtspostamt.

Warsaw

Our recommendation for a great Christmas getaway if you ask us. We’d recommend Poland. Its capital, Warsaw, in particular. Warsaw’s old market square, where the famous mermaid of Warsaw lives, is decorated for Christmas. Drinking hot drinks and buying handicrafts like wooden toys or woollen clothing will keep you warm during the sub-zero temperatures, so you’ll be able to recharge your batteries.

Costa Rica – The shores of the Caribbean!

It will be cold and snowy in Europe for Christmas, but don’t worry. Let’s head for the Caribbean! Because yes, it is possible to celebrate New Year’s Eve on the beach in places where it is 24-degree on Christmas Eve, despite what seems impossible. In Costa Rica, this is definitely possible. Even though it is always a good time to visit one of the most beautiful countries in Latin America, Christmas can still be especially memorable.

In Costa Rica, they celebrate Christmas very extravagantly, and they are very familiar with the holiday. This is especially evident in the capital, San José, during the festival of light, a lavish nighttime parade through the center of the city full of music and colors

To top it off, if you are specifically looking to get rid of your Christmas spirit, you should know that December is one of the best times of the year to stroll through Costa Rica’s natural beauty. Summer is a great time to explore its beaches, natural parks, surf, raft, canopy, hike, or even watch whales. So, either way, you are definitely enjoying your holiday out there!

Dublin – The smaller the size, the bigger the perks

Dublin is a lively city despite its small size. It might have been enough to enjoy your favorite drinks at one of its legendary clubs or listen to street musicians, but now the city offers a wide range of activities for all ages: concerts, exhibitions, guided tours, workshops for children – everything is available 24 hours a day.

Munich

The Christmas markets in Germany are one of the most prominent aspects of Christmas celebrations in this country. Germany is home to many of these markets, but the ones in Munich are particularly attractive.

The biggest Christmas market in Munich takes place on the Marienplatz, near the city hall, from the end of November until Christmas Eve. There are several markets to choose from in Munich during Christmastime. One of them is Christkindlmarkt, but there are others, such as Schwabingmarkt, which features stalls of artists and craftsmen.
